I am so thrilled that Charlotte Libov has written this much-needed clear, concise "how to" manual for cancer survivors and their families. As a Mental Health professional, I know that the first reactions people have when they hear the word 'cancer' are panic and fear. In addition to the obvious life and death concerns, two of the big reasons for this are that the amount of information out there can be very overwhelming...and the available information is often contradictory and confusing. Libov's "Cancer Survival Guide" is an antidote to this confusion, presenting each topic area in a very well-organized and user-friendly fashion, and artfully straddling the line between being simple enough for the average person to easily digest while also providing enough depth of information to be truly useful. Libov manages to do all of the above, and in a no-nonsense, practical and hopeful way. Both professionally and personally, I see this as a crucial piece of the puzzle that has long been missing for many, and is now available. For this, I say "Thank You" Charlotte Libov!

CANCER SURVIVAL GUIDE is a must read for anyone with an interest in the fight against cancer

I've had the good fortune to work with writer Charlotte Libov for years now and was very pleased at the opportunity to play a role, however small, in making CANCER SURVIVAL GUIDE a reality given the participation of several experts that I represent as the media relations representative for Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. For the past 20 years, I've worked at Mercy, trying to bring important information about medical breakthroughs in diagnosis and treatment of all manner of illness; a wonderful, easy to ready, easy to use guide like Ms. Libov's is now another tool we have to help educate people about how they, when it comes to cancer, can "conquer it and live a good life," as the cover notes! The book is comprehensive, examining 13 of the most common cancers, with everything from details about the latest breakthroughs to information about new genetic tests and how to "find the best treatments and doctors." Truly a great guide.

As a breast cancer survivor, I found this book informative, user friendly, and thorough. Everything is broken down into specific categories with countless helpful ideas for those suffering and for those whose loved ones are suffering. Part of the title, "How to Conquer it (cancer) and Live a Good Life" is spot on. In short, the old adage, "knowledge is power," says it all. Clearly, the author (Charlotte Libov) did her homework and imparts her knowledge in a concise, practical text, while encouraging readers to take control of their treatment. This is an important book. Thank you!
